Multiple databases
It would be great to have multiple databases like you can have multiple playlists each with a separate name. Here is why. I use my laptop in several places with different configurations for storage. I have a file server at work, a different file server at home and I have external portable disks.
Most of the database is duplicated on the different storage mediums so I end up with lots of useless multiple entries in the database. For example when I am at work a song will show as being on the file server but several greyed out (not present) copies of each song are listed making it very hard to use the database. If i could just switch to the appropriate database profile it would make things easier. Another reason people might want speparate databses is for different users. For example Dads database would only show the tracks he desires. The children could have a separate database for their tracks without cluttering up Dads database with tracks he would never listen to. |

Actually it would be easier to have an option to just not show the non present tracks. ie when you scan folders on startup just show the present files. it would be an easier method of adding files as well to automatically add ones in your watch folders on startup.
p.s. is the development actually continuing on this product |
