Badly or unidentified tracks, mistyped information? Virtuosa now has an "Update Database with track tags" function ! It allows to automatically correct metadata (Title, Artist, Album information) from files updated with MusicBrainz, directly in the Virtuosa Database, keeping your playlists untouched.
IMPORTANT, follow these steps very carefully :

- Make sure you have Virtuosa 5.20 or higher
- Backup your current Virtuosa database before doing anything : copy the Virtuo32.vdb file
- Download and install the MusicBrainz Tagger from the link below
- IMPORTANT : in the MusicBrainz Tagger options, go under Naming and DESELECT "Rename files when writing metadata tags", otherwise track names will be changed and Virtuosa will not find them anymore
- Drag-and-drop tracks from your Songs folder or directly from Virtuosa onto the MusicBrainz Tagger
- Let the MusicBrainz Tagger identify each track individually and correct the tag information
- Once it is done select the updated tracks in the Virtuosa Database
- Select "Update Database with Track Tags" in Virtuosa under the File Menu / Edit
- Virtuosa will automatically refresh information in the Database with the updated one in the file tags
- Your Database and Playlists will then be clean !
